A histogram is basically is a graph that helps to measure the brightness of an image by showing the individual frequency of each tone which is represented as a value on a bar chart. In a histogram its horizontal axis advances from pure black and on the left side of the histogram to the brightest white on the right side, passing through shadows, midtones, and highlights.
